Payless set to close all US Stores, 11 in Jacksonville

After many attempts to keep the retail chain alive, Payless has finally decided to close all 2,100 of its stores in the United States and Puerto Rico.

Liquidation sales are set to begin Sunday, February 17, 2019. In addition to shutting down it's retail stores, they will also shutdown the online store. But with stores in Latin America as well, it is said that those stores will not be affected. Payless owned just under 4,000 locations in 40 countries.

The company even pulled a prank on people redesigning itself as a high end retailer, but that wasn't even enough to revive the brand.

Payless filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in April of 2017 and could possibly file again by the end of this year.

The company has 11 locations throughout Jacksonville, Florida.
