75-year-old Jacksonville man sentenced to 25 years in prison on drug charge

75-year-old Joseph Lewis Walker has been sentenced to 25 years in state prison after being convicted on heroin trafficking and sale or delivery of heroin charges according to the Florida Times-Union.


Walker has an extensive record dealing with drug charges through out Florida from Jacksonville down to Miami through out the years. In addition to this trafficking charger, he has a pending case in Columbia County for trafficking more than 400 grams of Cocaine. 


How did he get caught? He gave a sample to an undercover DEA informant while in Melbourne, Florida, which is about two hours and 30 minutes away from Jacksonville. After giving a sample to the DEA informant, he sold them approximately 84 grams of heroin two days later. He was arrested that same day, May 3, 2017.
