Details on the Arrest of UGA Defensive Lineman

Senior Defensive lineman for the UGA Bulldogs Devonte Wyatt was taken into Athens-Clarke County Jail at 11:35 P.M. Tuesday Night according to a police report. Wyatt allegedly kicked the door of a female student multiple times from the hallway side, damaging the door and forcing it open according to a report. Wyatt was charged with Criminal Trespassing, damage to property, and family violence.

Head Coach Kirby Smart released the following statement on the subject, “I’m disappointed in the misconduct that is outlined in the incident report. This is not indicative of the behavior we expect from our student-athletes who represent the University of Georgia and our football program. We will address it internally in the appropriate way.”
