Bleacher Reports's Mike Freeman reported Wednesday that he spoke with league officials regarding the possibility former Gators head coach Urban Meyer ends up in the NFL. The three officials gave Freeman five possible destinations, one of which included the Jacksonville Jaguars:
A long shot, said one team executive, but not impossible. This executive thinks that if Meyer truly does want to coach in the NFL, this would be the perfect spot. The team has a patient and smart owner (Shad Khan), and in Jacksonville, there won't be nearly as much media scrutiny. - Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman
Jacksonville was ranked the least likely among the other four teams. The other possible teams, ranked from least likely to most, were the Panthers, the Browns, the Cowboys, and the Redskins.
