Florida State moves on the the Elite Eight for the first time since 1993 after upsetting No. 4 seeded Gonzaga 75-60. The No. 9 Seminoles will play No.3 seed Michigan tomorrow night for a chance to go to the Final Four for the first time since 1972.
Junior guard Terance Mann lead the Seminoles with 18 points, while Braian Angola and CJ Walker added 9 points a piece to lead the team to their third straight win over a higher seed. Florida State previously beat No. 8 seed Missouri, No.1 seed Xavier and now No. 4 seed Gonzaga.
Depth was clearly the biggest factor in this game as the FSU bench outscored the Bulldogs 30-6. The Seminoles shot 46 percent form the field limiting Gonzaga to 34 percent. No. 11 seed Loyola plays No. 9 seed Kansas State in the other Elite Eight match up tomorrow.
