Jags release designs for annual "My Cause, My Cleats" campaign

Jaguars fans may notice some fancy footwear on the field this Sunday when the Jaguars take on the Indianapolis Colts at 1 p.m. at EverBank Field. Across the country in all Week 13 games, players will have the chance to showcase causes that are important to them as part of the NFL’s annual “My Cause, My Cleats” campaign.

More than 40 Jaguars players are participating this year and have worked with local and national artists to customize cleats to represent an issue or organization that is of special significance to them. Each pair of shoes tells a personal story, and many will be donated to NFL Auction to raise funds for their chosen organization.

Several players have elected to represent local Jacksonville organizations. LB Myles Jack, DE Yannick Ngakoue and FB Tommy Bohanon will wear shoes honoring the Jacksonville Humane Society. QB Blake Bortles will celebrate the first responders of the Jacksonville’s Sherriff’s Office and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. WR Keelan Cole will wear shoes calling attention to the good work of the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida. DT Abry Jones and OT William Poehls will honor the Wounded Warrior Project.
