The Texas Longhorns were set to host a football camp in Hammond, Louisiana (about 45 miles west of Baton Rouge), until it was cancelled due to pressure from LSU.
According to Sports Illustrated, the camp was initially slated to take place at BREC Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge, but BREC pulled out ahead of the camp. Following that, the camp was moved to St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Hammond, before it was cancelled.
Two other camps, which Texas was to be involved in, were supposed to take place at Louisiana College and Southeastern Louisiana. Both of those camps were cancelled as well, making this latest incident the third time that a football camp involving the University of Texas was cancelled due to LSU interference.
