North Carolina Politicians Send Warning Shot in ACC's Direction

This new bill comes after the state voted and passed a repeal to the controversial HB2 "bathroom bill" in early April as a response to several sports governing bodies — including the NBA, NCAA and ACC — pulling events from the state.

After the repeal, the NCAA and ACC stated that they would again accept bids from sites hoping to host championship events.

Duke and Wake Forest would not be affected by this bill because the universities don't receive state funding.
