The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have omitted QB Jameis Winston from team promotions, including on player murals that are featured on the stadium and in promotional videos. This comes weeks after the NFL announced that it was suspending Winston for allegedly groping an Uber driver in 2016. The NFL found the accusers account to be "credible and consistent", and suspended Winston for the first three games of the NFL season after negotiations with Winston's representation.
The Bucs will play at the Saints, and host the Eagles and the Steelers in the first three weeks of the season.
The Bucs have decided not to include their beleaguered quarterback among any of their marketing promotions, Rick Stroud writes. #Bucs #Buccaneers @Buccaneers @NFLSTROUD @TB_Times #Jameis https://t.co/4JIC90EiRW— TampaBayTimesSports (@TBTimes_Sports) July 23, 2018
