Canes Officially extend Mark Richt’s Contract

Richt

On Thursday, the school announced it has extended the contract of Mark Richt through the 2023 season.

In a statement, Director of Athletics Blake James said since the day Richt came to Miami – he has set the bar for excellence.

“Mark has done a phenomenal job of building this program – and generating enthusiasm for this program – since the day he arrived back on campus,” James said. “We look forward to continued success under his watch, both on and off the field, for many years to come.”

Last season Miami finished 10-3 overall and 7-1 in the ACC. In his first two seasons at The U, Richt has led the Canes to a 19-7 record. Richt took over for the Canes in December of 2015 after Al Golden led the team to an 8-5 record.
